We recently hosted a panel discussion “To Raise or Not to Raise?” which provided an insightful discussion on strategic funding decisions to start-up founders and audiences alike. We were joined by Nader AlBastaki from Dubai Future District Fund, Faisal Hasan, CFA from Al Mal Capital PSC, Jovana Jovanovic from Omla | عملة, and Nitish Mittal from InvestSky | Social Investing. The session, moderated by Saqr Ereiqat – CEO of TDMM | TradeDog Market Manager & Partner at TradeDog Group, explored the effects of funding choices on business growth. Attendees also explored how machine learning can enhance fraud detection and compliance measures. The potential of blockchain and AI to revolutionize cross-border payments was another key focus, along with their impact on risk management and enhancing customer experiences. Ultimately, the event aimed to showcase the transformative power of these technologies in driving innovation and efficiency within the banking sector. Dubai AI & Web3 Festival 2024

His Highness HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Future Technology and Digital Economy, today opened the first edition of the Dubai AI & Web3 Festival. The two-day event, organised by the Dubai AI Campus in partnership with DIFC and the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy & Remote Work Applications Office, brings together more than 6,800 business leaders. During his visit, His Highness toured several pavilions at the venue, where he was briefed on the emerging technologies showcased by more than 100 exhibitors. The first day focused on Enabling Digital Economies, with sessions on connecting technologies, innovation, and data security. The second day of the Dubai AI and Web3 Festival continues tomorrow, Thursday, 12 September 2024 at Madinat Jumeirah.
